Never Satisfied -
Like a butterfly to a flower
Like a moth to a flame
Like a lion with an appetite
I can never be tamed
Like lemonade in summer
Like a dog who cannot stay
I'm a leper with an itch
Like a dog who cannot stay
I'm a leper with an itch
And it'll eat me all away
Always want what I don’t have
The chase will drive me insane
An insomniac I'm chasing sleep
With too much caffeine in my veins
An insomniac I'm chasing sleep
With too much caffeine in my veins
I'll run, run on empty for miles
In search of anything
Devour, eat what's in my path
Til devoured by the grave
I can't stop to catch my breath
In search of anything
Devour, eat what's in my path
Til devoured by the grave
I can't stop to catch my breath
Because I’m never satisfied, Never
Never Satisfied
Shape shifting like a nymph
But too stubborn to change
Though just below the surface
You will never see my rage
I'm a runner with a limp
But I can deal with pain
It may all just be a trap
But used to being betrayed
Never Satisfied
Shape shifting like a nymph
But too stubborn to change
Though just below the surface
You will never see my rage
I'm a runner with a limp
But I can deal with pain
It may all just be a trap
But used to being betrayed
Always want what I don’t have
The chase will drive me insane
with no adenosine* in my brain
*Adenosine is a neurotransmitter responsible for sleep, and that sleepy feeling. It can be inhibited by acetylcholine (effect of stress), caffeine, and norepinephrine (natural energy), among other natural or synthetic chemicals
