Cannot take credit for photo The deep, growling voice associated with metal goes hand-in-hand with relating personal struggle and raw emotions. Lots of people mistake that angst-y sound for anger and aggression, which I don't think it necessarily does. I've struggled with depression and anxiety on and off throughout my life, and it's been both a blessing and a curse. It's hard. But I'm not necessarily angry about it because it's made me strong. These lyrics I wrote pretty recently, as I've been listening to a lot of metal music at work. A little about the author of She Has a Way with Her Words: A thinker, a do-er, an aspiring scientist (microbiologist currently, working on my Bachelors), amateur cook and artist, and dabbler in lyrics and stories. A self-proclaimed metal head, though I do enjoy a wide variety of music and am always exploring :) This is a space to post some lyrics I'm working on, just to share. Hopefully there are some like-minded people around to critique or benefit from them. While they are merely word doodles, I'd appreciate that if they're shared, so is my pen name. Plagiarism sucks.
